Flagship, Time Patterns From: Carol Mulholland <Carol@flagship-uk.demon.co.uk> Date: Thu, 14 Sep 2000 00:00:00 +0000 This is a public announcement that we've been waiting to make until various arrangements had been completed. My husband, Ken Mulholland, collapsed with a perforated gastric ulcer on September 1st. He's out of hospital now and making good progress, but must avoid stress. It's Ken who normally lays Flagship in, so there will be a delay with Flagship #87, which would normally come out in mid-September. However, the material is ready and two PBM friends who live nearby (Colin Forbes and Tom Fyfe) have kindly volunteered to lay it in for us. So work is in progress, now. We're keeping our work for Flagship, but (as Time Patterns) we're giving up our PBM games, StarGlobe and Crisis! We expect to be able to find another firm to pass Crisis! on to, as it's computer-moderated. StarGlobe, however, has a significant amount of hand-moderation, so we're closing this. Our SG players are being offered a choice between a couple more turns to finish any projects or an immediate cash refund; and I've also contacted a couple of sf GMs who've generously agreed to offer free startups to ex-SG players.
