Madhouse are one of the few PBM firms that have allowed others to advertise
their games in their newsletters, or rather, I know for sure that they did
at one time, don't know about now.

KJC are one of the few firms who do not support conventions by attending,
and I don't think they send convention flyers to their players either
(Carol?).

So who cares if Madhouse manage to nick a few players off them - good luck
to them I say. Could be that some of those players would have drifted away
from KJC and been lost to the hobby completely.

Looking at the wider picture, I've had unsolicited mail from many PBM firms
in my time. I have no objection to this as it's a pastime I enjoy so I like
to know about other games that are available. What I DON'T like is
unsolicited mail from credit card firms, banks and loan companies, or
British Telecom phoning me to try to sell me services despite my having an
ex-directory number. That's what I call real unethical business practices,
and it's on a far grander scale. It's called the real world so we have to
live with it. Does what Madhouse do really matter than much in the grand
scheme of things, they're a largish fish in a quite small pond!
