XML, PBM and Refugee Scheme From: MindShift Design <teammsd@mindshiftdesign.com> Date: Tue, 31 Oct 2000 16:02:52 +0000 One thing weve just started talking about on the eGroups PBMDesign group is XML and its use in PBM/PbeM etc. Once possible use for it commercially could be to implement an XML spec standard for storing player account information. If each commercial company did this then this would allow for the easy transfer of account information, including current credit amounts (if allowed) for the gamer Refugee Scheme. So if a game folds, or a company folds, then this simple schema can output information in a single text file that can be imported into other commercial operatorss programs that will create new accounts from the information, or check for existing accounts, and allocate credit (if being allowed).
