TradeWas 2002 as a PBM From: "Chris Williams" <williac6@rjrt.com> Date: Tue, 14 Nov 2000 00:00:00 +0000 Hi everyone, I know this is a bit offtopic, but I'm wondering if any of you have ever played the old BBS game TradeWars 2002? (it's not entirely off-topic, as I'm thinking what a cool PBM it could make... heh) For those of you who haven't played it, it's a classic game of space exploration, colonization, resource building, and some combat and diplomacy. It certainly has a lot of the features we enjoy in a good Sci-Fi PBM dontcha think? Anyhoo... to get to the point, I've set up a TradeWars server where this game can be played over the internet. (It's free to play btw) All you need is either a Telnet client that supports ANSI (not the crappy one that comes with windows), or a TradeWars helper program such as ATTAC. (available at http://www.tw-attac.com) The address of the server is: roanokehobbies.dynip.com (this is not a website!) You just enter it into the client and follow the instructions from there. Let me know what you think... Chris Up
