Description:

GURPS Special Ops; allows you to run characters from elite commando and
anti-terrorist units around the world. From the Sergeant Sniper making a
key shot to the Colonel in Command; Character Creation is provided for US
Army Rangers, Special Forces, 1st SFODD (Delta Force), Marine Force Recon,
Naval Special Warfare Development Group ( formerly SEAL Team Six), 2nd
Legion Etrangers Parachutists (Foreign Legion Paras), GIGN, German GSG-9,
Israeli Sayeret, Russian/Soviet Spetsnaz, UK S.A.S, and Royal Marine
Commandos.
   You will need access to and a basic familiarity with GURPS Basic Set,
3rd Edition, to play. GURPS Compendium I and Special Ops 1st or 2nd
Edition are helpful but not required.
   Missions will include historical and present day, Scenarios. Our first
game is present day "Operation Charmed Slayer" a joint mission utilizing
elements of 1stBn/75thInfantry {Airborne Ranger} and Navy SEAL Team 8. A
F-117 Stealth Fighter-Bomber has gone down over Lybian Airspace. Your job,
remove or destroy all sensitive equipment and rescue the pilot.
   Our first planned historical mission will be "Raid on Iran" the
unsuccessful April 25th, 1980 Iran Rescue Mission.
   Players will be involved on the Operation Level at headquarters
allocating Intelligence Resourses, Special Ops Forces, and Supporting
Units. Then they will conduct the tactical mission with their player
characters in the field.
