Gregs Auto Thingy From: madcentral@aol.com (MadCentral) Date: Sat, 10 Feb 2001 23:06:00 +0000 Hi All, I wondered if it was just me that finds Greg's autoposted snippets of games annoying on Rec.Games.PBM. I've got to admit I cant see any reason why these messages shouldn't be here. They are on topic, helpful and (I assume) up to date. Yet I still find them annoying. Greg's quite reasonable about this sort of thing. If lots of people find them out of place I expect he'd stop them. Then again, if everybody thinks they are dead cool I'll shut up and stop whining. <grin> I think what bugs me is that these guys, if they want announcements, should place them themselves. Greg's autoposting, while clever, just reads like spam to me for the most part because its so impersonal, and not directly from the parties concerned.
