New Players for Playtest From: gsf@gsfgames.co.uk Date: Sat, 17 Feb 2001 23:14:55 +0000 The Battle Robots Game. (Draft rules, version 0.1) In this email game of Battle Robots the object is to design and build fighting robots and compete against other players in a series of battle zones. Designing robots from prefabricated parts is a compromise of speed, armour, maneuverability and fire power. Players can have robots equipped with either wheels, robotic legs or tracks. Each has an advantage in certain terrain types, but do you sacrifice mobility for fire power? Different chassis designs can carry different loads, enabling you to carry heavier weapons and more ammunition, but this makes your robot larger and easier to hit. The terrain map of a battle zone is 16 x 16 terrain squares and the map wraps around both East-West and North-South. New Players are needed to expand this Battle Robots playtest, so check out the GSF web site on www.gsfgames.co.uk and follow the links to the Battle Robots pages. Up
