"The city of Algernon rejoices as the shadows of the Overlord are
lifted but for how long?  With his departure a power vacuum has opened
which threatens to spill into civil war.  The remnants of his dark
reign still linger: the black fortress his cursed ruin, the hidden
members of his cult vowing vengeance, his unknown minions from the
depths of Hell.  Yet, the people of Algernon live in hope that the
Prophecy will come to be and great heroes will come to vanquish the
darkness forever.  But not all who come to Algernon seek the best for
its people..."

Looking for D&D 3E players looking to get past the dungeon into a
world filled with intrigue and the fantastic.  The city of Algernon
and the adventures therein will entertain you once or twice a week via
email.  To enter the city please send a player character of 1st level
complete with appropriate background to dragonking@mailandnews.co.uk.
Only those who show intelligence and originality will be allowed past
the Gryphons which guard Algernon's gates.  Those wishing to lurk
through the tales of the city are welcome.  But beware: this game is
intended for those with maturity enough to behold its wondrous tales.
