Ever wondered what would've happened had the writers took Voyager down a completely different road? Well here's your chance. We've rewound the series back to the very beginning and split off into our own universe, where we can direct the characters and adventures of the intrepid USS Voyager. The story so far... Following a lead from Starfleet Intelligence, Captain Kathryn Janeway takes the USS Voyager out on an 'unofficial' mission to chase down a rogue marine squad, suspected to be attached to Chakotay's Maquis cell. These fugitives are homicidal and very dangerous. The official mission (but secondary in purpose) is to retrieve a Starfleet spy reporting on the very same cell. Flung 70,000 years across space, the Starfleet crew are experimented on and their short-term memories erased. Upon waking they find themselves stranded on an alien array, the Maquis having 'reappropriated' Voyager. Taking the abandoned Maquis vessel, Janeway leads a strikeforce to retrieve the ship. Meanwhile the occupant of the array, a powerful being known as Suspiria, double-crosses Janeway and transports the remaining crew to the planet Ocampa for solar radiation tests. Upon reaching Voyager, they find her drifting in a decaying orbit, the victim of an alien ambush the Maquis couldn't stop. Beaming aboard, Janeway's strikeforce finds themselves in a three-way guerilla war with the Maquis survivors and alien boarding party. A combination of strategy and luck wins Janeway back her ship and her crew, but she is unable to hold onto the Maquis who escape into the delta quadrant. 70,000 light years from home and with no way of knowing whether the being that brought them here will send them back, does Janeway continue her mission or cut her losses?
