[CON] Dragonmeet 2001 From: sasha@endsofinvention.com (Sasha Bilton) Date: Mon, 15 Oct 2001 11:40:40 +0000 Dragonmeet 2001 London, United Kingdom Kennsington Town Hall, 1st December. Dragonmeet 2001 is shaping up to be the United Kingdom's largest one-day roleplay, live-action, PBM, miniature and collectable card gaming convention. Set in west London's spacious Kensington Town Hall, the convention boasts numerous traders, both retailers and manufacturers, a wide array of demonstration games, a bring and buy space, artists area, panel seminars and an auction. Finally a large space is made available for attendees to bring and play their own games. Guest of honour this year, once again, is John Kovalic, the friendly genius behind Dork Tower. Also at the convention will be a number of American game designers and publishers. In attendance are almost all the UK's RPG game manufacturers, including Hogshead, Britannia and Mongoose publishing. We are also very pleased to announce Games Workshop, makers of The Lord Of The Rings wargame, are finally returning to Dragonmeet to demonstrate their latest products. Of course no convention would be complete without the RPGA and Steve Jackson's Men In Black, both of whom will be running games. This year's special event is the D&D Weakest Link Game. Hot and cold food will be available in the convention centre and a cloak room is also provided. Pre-ordered tickets are 5 or 3.50 for concessions, these tickets are available from the website and selected retailers. The website also offers a group discount of 5 tickets for the price of 4. Pre-ordered ticket holders should use the fast track pre-registration desk on arrival. Ticket prices on the day are 6 or 4.50 for concessions.
