There are already a lot of influential people involved in this one and
working every possible cause for objections. At the last count there
were ten different local residents associations opposing the plan,
50-odd residents as individuals, and four councillors. The report from
the planning department uses some very revealing phrases that make it
clear that the people currently handling the application can't
understand why the night club was ever given permission to open in its
original form, and really would prefer not to let it double in size and
open until 3.00 AM.
