Description:

1880 European Powers is a historical free PBEM game, with weekly turns.
The main ingredients are diplomacy, trade, economical and geographical
expansion, and warfare.
The game takes its start in 1880, and offers 33 players a chance to play a
character in 18 nations (17 European plus Japan). The six Great Powers;
Austria-Hungary, Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Russia are all 3
player nations, Japan, Spain and the Ottoman Empire are two player
nations, while the single player nations are Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands,
Belgium, Portugal, Serbia, Bulgaria, Rumania and Greece.
Each turn is the equivalent of 4 months of game time. A set of orders
needs to be submitted by the PM of the nation each week. Every game year
all nations will submit a budget for the coming year.
Diplomatic agreements, trade agreements, acquisitions and sales, colonial
endeavours, random events, political elections and much more, are some of
the issues each player will have to address during the game.
Although the starting data in 1880 European Powers, are the actual data of
that period, the game itself is not a simulation of the period. Some
events will happen in accordance with what really took place, but the game
is mostly a "what if" game based on the actual situation of 1880.
