New: Death (free, open-ended, email, human, modern, rpg, abstract) From: lindahl@pbm.com (Greg Lindahl) Date: Sat, 17 Nov 2001 20:14:13 +0000 Name: Death URL: http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/deathpbem Frequency: 3-4 per week (more if possible) Email: arcasaurus@home.com Type: Open form style RPG Last-Update: 2001Nov11 Keywords: free, open-ended, email, human, modern, rpg, abstract Description: Death - Role-Playing Game http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/deathpbem deathpbem@yahoogroups.ca What is it like to die? Is it just a rebirth into another body, moving of the soul? Or is it the end, the finally to all that we believe is life. Noone for sure knows, well, not living at least. This is a world of death, what it's like on the other side. Each person, has their own views. Are you haunting your neighbour, spying on cheerleaders changing, or roasting in the depths of hell. Welcome to the game of Death. Where you live, die, and live out the afterlife, or what you believe to be so. Interaction with other payer's will happen, because although what you may believe in; doors lead to what others do too- much like a street of faiths with doors leading in every which spiritual direction. Death is played over e-mail, by 4-8 people. Death is a human moderated game, which means that all turns and submissions are humanly controlled and not handled by some piece of software; and thus, anything goes! This is a free form role-playing game- play who you want, when you want, and how you want; as long as it fits with the genera. Character Creation- Simple process really, e-mail the game master with your name (both personal and character), age (mostly the year you were born, for the character), a description of yourself, and of course the story of why your dead, what you believe in, and what you think death is to be like. For some helpers, think of heaven, hell, dreams, wishes, fears, hauntings, summoning, past, present, future, good, bad, love, hate, and anything else really that would make for a good storyline. I'm not aiming so much for the horror side of things, rather then for the entertainment factor that we will all I'm sure receive. You can, for social purposes, create more then one character. Submitting Turns- I ask that you try to submit as soon as possible, 3-4 times a week is good; although daily is better. Turns should be descriptive, but it's not a novel or anything. Simple put, e-mail the mailing list with your turn report, and interact with the other players or game master (whatever happens to be there). If you wish to speak out of character, make sure you define so as "OCC" to avoid confusion. Although you may know the difference between you saying something, and your spirit/ghost/deity; we don't always figure it out as easily. Simple write 'OCC: Message' and so on, and so forth.
