It's a war game where you take change of a country and lead it into whatever you want. Do what you want, it's real time, so no play by mail stuff but it's basically run by e-mails where you must be an active member to survice. Create relations real-time and watch the outcome of posting 3000 troops to your border - do they consider it hostile or not ? It's modern (i.e. they have current military units and diplomatic relations), and although I have not been playing as long as the others it seems to have great potential...
