New: Farscape: Peacekeeper (free, open-ended, email, www, mixed, space, rpg) From: lindahl@pbm.com (Greg Lindahl) Date: Mon, 03 Dec 2001 16:13:08 +0000 Name: Farscape: Peacekeeper Costs: free URL: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Peacekeeper_PBEM Frequency: as fast as you can type - sometimes faster Email: cuehope@yahoo.com Type: insane space PBEM Last-Update: 2001Nov20 Keywords: free, open-ended, email, www, mixed, space, rpg Description: I've started up a Play by e-mail game in October of 2001 based of the Farscape Peacekeepers. We are currently in event #2. All are welcome to join. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Peacekeeper_PBEM You do NOT have to be Sebaceans, but no one is an officer yet. Everyone must prove his or her worth. This gives new or old PBEM players a chance to get in on the ground floor This PBEM is a little different then anything you could ever imagine. It requires a special player with a quick mind and attention to details. You aren't going to get bogged down with writing out whole stories. You might not even want to attain rank. The object of this game is to survive as long as you can. If you get noticed you will rise through the ranks. There is also treachery amongst the crew and your newly acquired rank might be your undoing. But if you have to die, go down swinging and die with honor. This is more of a Paranoia meets Toon. There are going to be 5 GMs rotating on and off through out the game. We have just completed our trail runs and fixed most of the problems and even increased the speed of the game with the use of instant messengers and chat rooms. E-mail still remains to major port of call. The time has come for our small little group expands to a larger playing field. Even if you don't feel too Peacekeeper-like, you will still want to check this out. The game is more for thinking warriors, instead of brutish ones. If you have any questions please feel free to ask, I will answer any and all questions to the best of my knowledge or I will find the answer someplace else. The game is extremely fast paced (something some players will find over whelming and confusing) and there will be a lot of things happening including 1 on 1 fight and ship-to-ship battles. So buckle your seat belt and make sure you seat tray is in its upright position. Because you are in for the ride of your life [ This is a new entry for the PBM List.
