The Monas Oracle at Monaster da Aova spoke to the Hysoa in the year 475 and said to them, "A great doom has come, and the ravens will feast. Make fast the borders, the old ones stir. Look to the land of the river in the sky." The Oracle's words have caused disquiet among the Hierarchs, for though they are strong, it has been long centuries since the Oracle spoke thus, long centuries since the great wars which swept away the old Empire. In the North, the Dread King, that undying curse, has opened war against his neighbors and it is said armies other than human fight in the cold northern lands. ... And in the South, what do we know of the veiled people the Essanhaja, led by a leader called Azzama, as they push north and threaten to destroy the Fetaouid Sultan? Rumors of a great and terrible Daenim abound. And so it is in Sys we find ourselves, facing war, for everywhere is war. Tales from Dunya is perhaps the web's only North and West African based campaign world and pbem.
