[AD] Continental Rails II UK From: "Jeremy Wasden" <jeremy@wasden.freeserve.co.uk> Date: Sun, 16 Dec 2001 12:14:36 +0000 Dear rec.games Player, You might have come across Continental Rails or Continental Rails II previously, it's a bit of a classic, originally run by Sloth here in the UK, then by Madhouse. The game is about the opening of the States to the rail road barons, back in the 19th century. As you would imagine the game is pretty cut throat with you testing your business skills against 14 other sharks. I can't guarantee you Robber barons to play against, but I reckon that 21st century PBMers must come a close second to them! If you are interested in playing, the cost for set up is 5 for the rule book and first two turns, after that turns are 2.25. The game should last about 22 turns and unlike most other PBM your character doesn't die and you won't be kicked out if you are bankrupt (great in economic PBM's how characters can always find a trusting Aunt to fund stake money). For a complete game and rules the price is 40, but this is discounted for the next couple of months to 35. That's 1.60 a turn, a lot of game for the money. Drop me an email if you are interested and I'll tell you what to do next (send me the start-up money basically). Thanks, Jeremy jeremy@fuelpbm.co.uk Phone Orange UK 07980 334 867 Referenced By Up
