I can safely say that none of you are familiar with the Alvearia game system or what it has to offer. Alvearia is a grand world in which you as a player take control of a small village. As your population grows, so does the risk to annihilation. You can control vast armies with over thirty different classes, 7 different races, and hundreds of weapons, war machines and spells. All of this and more will be available late this summer. As mentioned above, Alvearia Crusades is a runoff of the Alvearia system, a completely free runoff. Crusades is nearly completed, the only job left is to play test the system, work out the kinks and design an official rules book. Please keep in mind that this is a completely free game, and always will be, whether it lasts for only ten days, or for ten years. So What is Alvearia Crusades? To put it simply, Alvearia Crusades is a tabletop miniatures game that is played without the tabletop . . . or the miniatures. Instead different maps are designed on computers, they are then transferred to a grid. These maps are where all of the battles take place. As for the miniatures, or E-Figs as they are called, they are nothing more than a series of stats that tell you important information about your E-Fig. Overtime, artist drawings and renderings will be posted and available. Crusades, like other miniature based games is played on a turn-by-turn basis. You can play in tournaments, one-on-ones, scenarios, all-for-themselves, and more. If you are a fan of the popular Mage Knight Series, or other miniature based games, then Alvearia Crusades is designed just for you. [ This is a new entry for the PBM List.
