Last-Update: 2002Feb27 Keywords: free, open-ended, email, human, modern, rpg, abstract Description: While there have always been the rumors of _real_ magic and studies of 'so-called' psychic phenomena are taken seriously, this is a whole new ball of wax. Some years ago a very small few men and women displayed the most unusual abilities. Oh, there was the typical comic book flight and super strength, but there also was that one guy that had lizard scales and bat wings and vomited acid. Ick. Now the government has labeled them, as it always does. They are the homo-mutatius. It's not just a ragged few anymore either. Oh no, now we've gone into overdrive. Out of every hundred kids you'll be likely to find one or two of these freaks. Some people say all that tripping in the 70's finally caught up with us. I don't know about that, but I for one am glad the government's helping out. What, you hadn't heard? The governments' all across the world are forming schools to house and train these weirdoes. If we're going to have to live with them, at least we'll know they're under control. The SCU goes and rounds them up when their freakiness starts to show and they get shoved in the institutes. Oh, a few have died trying to resist but you have to expect that sort of thing, right? _______ You are a mutant, whether or not you know it yet is up to you. One person does know. Professor Alexander Drake. The good Prof has formed Drake Institute on his privately owned island and you have received an invitation to join. If you know you are a mutant then you have been told that this school has been formed to protect you from being forced into government imprisonment. You will be safe here. If you don't know you're a mutant then you have been offered a scholarship to this elite new private High school on a tropical island because of you academic achievement, artist capability, sports aptitude, or whatever other reason they could come up with. Don't want to play a teenager? Well you could also be one of the elite teachers on this island. Your child is (or was) a mutant, you have some small gift of magic or a psychic ability, or you're just a normal person who wants to help these poor children. Prof. Drake found you and brought you here. The pay's good to. (Sorry, teachers can not be mutants.) This is not a Marvel or DC based game and will not have appearances of any Marvel/DC characters. Please be 18+ as there may be some sexual situations and violence. There will _not_ be graphic sex. This game is R rated not X. Please be willing and able to post at least three times a week.
