Players will be the sole rulers of the kingdom of their choice. They will have to control trade, diplomatic affairs, plan and engage in military conflicts, establish colonies, maintain the peace and prosperity of their realm, and eventually become the strongest ruler in the world of Calidon. The beginning of our game is set during the ancient year of 12564, following the great wars, plagues, and destruction of the late 21st century. Human civilization as we know it has collapsed and has just recently in the last five hundred years began to re-evolve. Many of the worlds governments have been destroyed and small areas of people have banded together to form individual kingdom states. Each of these kingdoms is under the sole control of one sovereign lord. Many of the ancient writings and knowledge has been lost over the past 10,500 years, but there is believed to be a book of knowledge that exists somewhere in the unexplored lands to the west. It is said that this book of knowledge, known as the Book of Elements, has plans for inventions and concepts that where only known to the ancient civilizations.
