Description:

Age of Wonders and Age of Wonders 2 are fantasy/strategy
computer games published in the US, Canada and Europe. The
original Age of Wonders is now out of print but can be found
in bargain bins. AoW II is slated for release 2nd quarter of
2002. They typical price of AoW is $10-$20 US. AoW II will
likely be priced as a typical computer game ($50 US retail).
Age of Wonders was originally published in multiple languages.

Age of Wonders supports single player gaming and multiplayer
gaming via email, over TCP/IP, and hotseat play. AoW II will
likely retain these features.

AoW is a typical fantasy/strategy builder game. Each player
controls an empire and generally tries to wipe out the
other players while growing a prosperous empire. Players
build cities which produce units based on the player's chosen
race. Units range from spearmen to giant beetles to dragons
to ice queens.

One of AoW's best features is the game editor that allows
players to create their own scenarios and maps. There are
several fan sites devoted to AoW maps and scenarios, with
hundreds available.
