New: Shade of Twilight (free, open-ended, email, human, fantasy, rpg, abstract) From: lindahl@pbm.com (Greg Lindahl) Date: Wed, 29 May 2002 07:13:00 +0000 Name: Shade of Twilight Costs: Free Frequency: One per week Email: shadeoftwilight@hotmail.com Type: Surreal, Abstract, Open-Ended RPG Last-Update: 2002May25 Keywords: free, open-ended, email, human, fantasy, rpg, abstract Description: Shade of Twilght is a (mostly) abstract and highly surrealistic RPG. A good way to summarize it is to give a little background on why I have decided to run it. For a long, long time, I have played MU*'s....all sorts of MU*'s. I started out on hack'n'slash muds, later moving to more detailed MUD's, and finally, into MOO's and other heavily RP-oreinted games. I became particularly fascinated with post-apocalyptic futures. I have also always taken a tremendous interest in surrealistic games...both MU*'s and mainstream computer games, like Myst. Shade of Twilight is my way of creating something that is a mix of both...there has been no 'apocaclype', and this is not necessarily the future, but you'll see elements in it that draw on literature that deals with theis genre. Elements of this, combined with vivid imagery of imaginative people, places, things, and siatuations will form the Shade of Twilight. This game is also intended for maximum flexibility in order to fully reward creative thinking...if it makes sense according to the game's current applicable laws of nature(subject to change in certain situations!), than you can do it, I promise, no matter how strange it is. Cost is free, and turns will be generated every week, hopefully, barring my absence. Player spots may be limited, because I will strive to keep turns coming out once a week...I place more importance on a small, well-run game than a large game in which some people are getting their turns a day or two late. I will try to know all the players to better serve them, and once again, there is NO charge.....so please, email me, give this a try....you won't be disappointed.
