Writing (volume-wise) for pbm games From: spiro51@hotmail.com (Colin Turner) Date: Tue, 28 May 2002 02:02:15 +0000 In my heroic fantasy game, I tried to make the starting materials as quick a read as possible. The trade-off was a much-narrowed scope - gameplay is restricted to one district of one city. For the action, too, I try to keep turns as short as possible, except for passages designed to establish local color, mood, and whatnot. Anyway, I'm interested in others' feelings from their experiences of different styles. Maybe the question could be reduced to "What do you want from a game, and how much of it is enough?"
