The United Federation of Planets and their allies have just won a major war against the Dominion, but not before the Dominion and their allies wrought havoc upon the Federation fleet. While peace is finally on the horizon, other predators have begun to lurk from the shadows. With Starfleet ships and personnel at an all time low as a result of war casualties, various factions begin to attempt to gain footholds before they rebuild. The Romulans have resumed an isolationist policy, Orion pirates and Ferengi smugglers have begun to run amok, and a dark force which has lain dormant has begun to stir. The USS Beowulf is a Play-By-e-Mail game based in the Star Trek universe. Using e-mail lists, players take on the persona of a Starfleet officer aboard the USS Beowulf-C, an Akira class starship. As the Game Master sets the scene, the players interact with both the Game Master and other players to create a story with unlimited possibilities. Join us now, as we seek out new life forms, undiscovered planets, and loyally defend the Federation against all aggressors. This game is dedicated to all of the players, past and present who have made the Beowulf what it is today. The USS Beowulf uses a rather unique posting system that sets it apart from traditional Star Trek "SIMs". Instead of merely adding parts to a story, the GM will set the stage and then the players will interact with the GM and each other.
