Welcome to the King of Kings PBEM strategy game. I have recently completed the first phase of building a new fully automated game server for my favourite PBEM strategy game, King of Kings. This game is completely free. It is also very very fun. Although at first glance it is only a medieaval strategy game, King of Kings games always enjoy a healthy dose of diplomacy, back-stabbing, and general finaglery. Moreover the new game is highly configurable to allow a wider variety of special games than ever before, with special terrain and troop types. Although the original text format reports are still available, King of Kings now boasts a brand new graphical map viewer. It is fully configurable, and you can use the distributed bitmaps for terrain and troops, or design your own and use those. If anyone wants to run their own games, the source code for the server is freely available, and can be compiled and run on a variety of platforms.
