Latest FLAGSHIP (AD) From: Carol Mulholland <carol@flagship-pbm.co.uk> Date: Sat, 26 Oct 2002 18:52:02 +0000 Issue 99 of FLAGSHIP was mailed earlier in the week. We've kept the extra 4 pages that we're using for non-PBM/PBeM coverage, so there's 56 pages of news and comments about a range of games, on glossy paper with a striking colour cover. For PBM/PBeM games, we've a playtester's review of the new fantasy wargame PBeM TOTAL CONQUEST, and first reviews of the wargame PROMETHEUS, the RPG WORLDS APART and the motor racing game RACEPLAN. There's an overview of three adventure games, ASPECTS OF MIGHT, DUNGEONWORLD and QUEST, where players in each have written an account of the game. There are game diaries for LORDS OF THE EARTH (game 1) and GODFATHER (a Head to Head), and we conclude the 3-part beginners' guide to MIDDLE EARTH PBM. There's the Sports column, and also players' comments on 19 different games in our 'Rumours from the Front' section. Non-PBM game coverage includes a column about first impressions of 10 online games and reviews of ULTIMA ONLINE and HATTRICK. We've an article for tabletop roleplayers about the D20 and DARK AGES systems. There's a report on GENCON UK, and John Harrington's Zine Scene describes the zine-based conventions. For boardgames, Pevans' column details his information sources and there's also a review of the new game LIBERTE. All this with news and letters, and articles by Steve Tierney (Madhouse) and Mica Goldstone (KJC). Relax, there's absolutely nothing about What I Did On My Summer Holiday...
