Description:

The Premier League is a postal football game (that's soccer to anyone on
the wrong side of the Atlantic) based on the United system invented by
Alan Parr. It's more complex than most games of that ilk, and rewards
strategic thinking (as in real football, it's not the strongest team that
wins, it's the ones that outthink their opponents. This is how all
football games should be, but somehow few ever are!)

The league is now in it's seventh season, and while it has slowed down
over the years it has kept going: turnarounds are relaxed, and you should
be prepared for this. It consists of 3 divisions of 10 teams, with 11
turns per season. Vacancies are rare, but I am expecting one player to
drop out any time now, so it may be a good time to ask to play.

The game is published through a small magazine of the same name, and you
also get added extras like game and convention reviews, odd articles, free
extra games (a word game called Connections has just finished), and a
regular whingeing column by one manager.

Play is currently postal, but I've just got email so I'm going to accept
email orders from now on. For the present, game reports will be sent out
by mail, but again an email option may emerge in the future.
