Players assume the roles of a Nations Leader, and it is up to the players to choose their course of play. Will you be an arrogant leader with ends bent on conquest, or will you play a benevolent leader helping those lesser countries and forming a great alliance for peace? The game is based very loosely on the world as it is today. Players will find familiarity with the world map, and some of the countries populations to be fairly accurate however, this may be as far as it goes. It is up to the player to determine how historically accurate they wish to make their country. Rising Conflict is designed to be a long term in depth diplomacy game that allows for warfare when desired. Players who join late will have their countries slightly altered so that they will not be far behind others who may have been playing for a long time. [ This is a new entry for the PBM List.
