Are web based games the future of pbm/pbem. From: google@gameskingdom.co.uk (evilb) Date: Mon, 19 May 2003 14:06:34 +0000 I'm sure I've read this thread before, but I thought it would be worth sharing my recent experiences with the rest of the die hards that lurk/post here. In the early 90's, I ran a reasonably successful hand moderated rpg pbm in the uk (that was a mouthful!) At its height, it had around 120 active players and made me a smallish but regular income. I'm now considerably older, fed up with hand moderation, and have several years of software development experience behind me. Hence k00l.net was born earlier this year. In less than 2 weeks since the first game has gone live, I now have approaching 400 registered users and over 200 active players. The game is completely automated, so I spend my time tweaking it and answering messages in the forum. Isn't this the way to go ? Thoughts, flames or otherwise... Referenced By Up
