Description:

A fantastical empire spanning the greater part of the known world, the
Empire came to be through strength of will and arm. It now stands in
solidarity against the rest of the world. And so it seems, this
resource rich land held under the benevolent watch of its tireless
ruler is an idyllic place � a land at peace. Yes, so it seems, but
there are those (as there always are) who envision change, and so the
cracks under the surface begin.

The capital island of Persyria proper is a beacon to which the
nobility from the far reaches of the empire flock. Here they dance
attendance upon the whims of the Imperatrix. Always they are
courteous, always they are genteel, and always they are watching
silently for that imbecile in the blue frock coat to commit social
suicide and fall ever further from Imperial favour, so that they might
get the chance... oh just that one chance.

Here the wrong word or gesture made in public could very well ruin you
forever - or at least for the social season. In a world of superficial
politeness funded by intrigues and gossip, one must take their destiny
in hand or become a pawn. Here anyone can rise from the ashes of their
tattered reputation and find a way to buy or create the power they
need to crush their enemies or woo that lovely girl on the left Or one
can watch the mighty fall as they are given everything... even the
rope to hang themselves.
