Eressea spellcasting From: The Other Ted <39kjvjw@nsm.umass.edu> Date: Mon, 20 Oct 2003 11:29:17 +0000 Hi, all. I've got a question about castng spells in Eressea. I have read and re-read the rules, and I have contacted eressea-help (got a fast response, but they were as stumped as I am). My apologies if this is OT; I'm hoping some Eressea players have encountered, and fixed, the same problem before I send in a bug report. So I want to set combat spells for my mages. I've tried the following formats: ("n" replaced by a number, "<spell name>" replaced, by, well, the spell name) KAMPFZAUBER STUFE n "<spell name>" // format that came with my spell description // oddly enough, <spell name> was in English! COMBATSPELL LEVEL n "<spell name>" // format allowed by Magellan // also one of 2 formats in English rules COMBATMAGIC LEVEL n "<spell name>" // one of 2 formats in the English rules I've tried these with and without the LEVEL (or STUFE) tag, and with both the English and German names for the spells. (I may have missed some combinations... I haven't been taking the best notes as to what hasn't worked.) All formats result in an "unrecognized order" error in my turn reports. COMBATMAGIC passes the e-check, while the other two formats don't. If any English-speaking players are out there, who have successfully set their combat spells, I'd appreciate reading how you did it :) BTW, if you want to reply by email, replace the junk username with edh. Thanks in advance, Ted Referenced By Up
