Description:

A Weeping Tale is inspired by the style of writing of Lord of the Rings,
being along the same epic scale.

THE fires of war lit up the sky whilst the coughing boom of war machines
heralded the smash of stone upon stone. Thousands of black, chitinous
figures swarmed before the walls of the Ilien�s Grief as defenders rained
arrows upon them.

AROUND the gates giant figures lumbered, a great ram edging forth, held in
the iron grip of Uthgachi. The screams of dying upon the walls echoed as
the great gates held, their timbers afire from endless ballistae fire.

From the bastions Furies worked their magery, and sheets of blue fire
smashed through the screaming Spawn, augmented by the flash of terror
spells from Masques. Swords rose and fell and black blood spattered down
the rungs of great siege ladders.

IN the glow of encroaching morn came the Lurker, flanked by Bloat and the
Hanger Tree. Their power surged, and entire sections of wall were drenched
in their darkness. A clarion call announced the coming of the Rose of War,
surrounded by the knights of the Black Watch.

STEPPING up the walls, Bloat�s massive, obese form began to climb, and
defenders scattered. A short figure, a lady swathed in white linen, stood
atop the wall, and Bloat was hurled fifty foot, to land heavily upon his
own servants, smoking from the blast of the Rose�s stunning evocation.

THE defenders regained the heights, but the whips of the Hanging Tree slew
many as they flickered through the cloudless dawn. Lurker threw a bolt of
pure night, but the Rose�s blade turned it, then slashed through the
Hanging Tree�s whips. A scream of rage followed, and again a Power was
hurled to it�s back. Ilien, the Rose of War, smashed Soul Fire into the
Hanging Tree again and again, it�s very roots burning from her power.

Daemon Spawn launched another assault; the great gates opened, and a
thousand of the White Horse knights rode into their swell, their lances
taking down hundreds, followed by armoured horse and rider. The armies of
the Dark were thrown back again.

IN the distance, more horns sounded, and, atop the crest of an ashen hill,
an army of warriors filed in ranks, their banners those of the Colourless.
Death followed as the Dark were caught betwixt Iron and Anvil.

The game itself is large, tailored to the players completely, but with the
central theme. The variety within the game is enormous. It can have rpg
parties, mass scale wargaming, small scale pottering. Anything. It's
unique. No one's ever written a book like it, and it developed from my own
RPG, which I've run for 10 years. If you want, give me a call
