Description:

The RPG is set before the movie Troy, during the wars that Agamemnon
started. In order to unite the tribes of Greece Agamemnon attacked various
cities and in this RPG, the city of Cyllene is under seige. The city
refuses to give in to Agamemnon's forces and so the war began.

Parts of the city are being attacked at the present time in the RPG. The
main city has not been taken, and the aristocracy, the army and some of
the peasants are there. There are places established outside the city;
various temples because Cyllene doesn't worship just one God, a few
private establishments and homes, peasant villages. The private
establishments include slavers, brothels, anything slightly unsavory that
may scare the women and children and this is why they are kept outside.
Some people have been taken captive, mainly priests and priestesses, most
men do not live long enough to stay captive.

The RPG is based on the people involved in the war; Agamemnon's forces and
those defending the city, the aristocracy, the peasants and many more.
Agamemnon's forces are not the only ones plotting, there are also many
plots within the city itself and the aristocracy and royalty. Good and
Evil isn't that simple and even Heros are human...Conspiracys, hate,
prejudice, sex, domination, power, passion, love, death. All mixed
together in this RPG.

Welcome to war.

The RPG is played in a yahoo group and involves mainly original
characters. Some of the characters from the film and mythology may appear
in the RPG. If you wish to play one you must be approved to play the
character - this involves two examples of you playing the character - and
your must have done your research. You need to be able to play the
character in the correct context.

People from Troy, including the two Princes (Hector and Paris) will not
suddenly appear in the RPG unless there is a good reason. Troy is not
close to Cyllene, and so they would not just be 'wandering by'. I'm not
saying no to them, but if you can't think of a good reason for them to be
there then don't ask to play them - you will be turned down.

The Gods and Goddesses are mentioned, their influence and symbols of their
presense will be shown throughout the RPG. However, no one will be playing
a God or Goddess.

In ancient Greece the men were in control. Women had little movement in
society; their lives were controlled and protected by their fathers and
then their husbands. They were betrothed when they had a dowry, and
teenage girls were often wedded to men in their late twenties and
thirties.
