Description:

A Dungeons and Dragons play by email game set in Faerun, the Forgotten
Realms setting and currently using a mix of the Third Edition and 3.5
rules.

We use YahooGroups to play D&D in a play by email game. The policy is that
you should post at least once every three days, but we are not overly
strict. However, if you start posting infrequently than you are not going
to earn as much experience as the regular posters and you will start
feeling like an observer as the game moves ahead without you. In other
words, the more you post the more fun you will have.

The focus of the game is on story and character interaction rather than
fighting monsters and getting bogged down by the "rules". As DM, I will
change the rules to fit the play by email nature of the game, but I am
always fair.

The setting itself is the Third Edition Forgotten Realms, with the first
group currently in the traditionally used Dalelands region. There are
still openings in this group, but if enough people are interested we will
be creating other playing groups around Faerun.

For people familiar with the milieu, you will find a lot of the
traditional enemies, friends, and names altered to suit the purposes of
our story.

As we try our best to respect copywright laws, you should have a copy of
the Player's Handbook Third or 3.5 Edition, or be somewhat familiar with
the rules. If not, the character generation process might take a little
longer, but once you start playing there are always group members willing
to help the rookies.
