Then FREE FALLING WEYR is for you!

Free Falling Weyr is set in an alternate fifth pass, and was founded in
the Turn of 1258. It is located on the Northern Continent, Eastern side a
half hours flight north of the bay.

Massive changes have rocked Free Falling Weyr, down to it's foundations!

The Northern Continent has experienced a series of seismic events which
have reshaped life on Pern as we know it. High Reaches Weyr is no more,
destroyed by a quake, it lies in rubble.

Fort Weyr, Hold, the Harper and Healer Halls are gone, as Fort Weyr became
an active volcano, wiping out the four, giving people only time to
evacuate. All the precious hides of generations of riders, Holders and
crafters are lost forever.

Telgar and Igen Weyrs are all but gone, rebuild able, but not for a decade
or more. Crom and it's precious ores and the mines at Telgar are
inaccessible, again for perhaps a decade or more.

Hundreds, thousands lie dead. People, dragons and other beasts. Of all the
Weyrs of the North, only Free Falling and Ista remain, protected from the
disturbances by distance, sea and mountains.

And the pass is only two turns old.

Resources are limited and set to become scarce, precious and expensive.

Refugees flood into Free Falling Weyr and its Holds and Halls, which are
unlikely to have the capacity to house and feed them all.
