Looking for players: Napoleonic Wars Online From: schmidsj@union.edu (Stephen Schmidt) Date: Tue, 12 Oct 2004 04:20:34 +0000 The Napoleonic Wars Online (NWOL) is seeking players to join its 2004-05 game. NWOL is a play-by-email simulation of the land and naval combat and diplomacy of the Revolutionary and Napoleonic eras. Turns run two times a week during active campaigning and once a week otherwise. You do not need any special software to play - only a web browser that supports Java and an email account that can handle HTML attachments. NWOL is a free game and there is no charge of any kind to play. There is a short online tutorial to teach new players the rules of the game. Registration is now open to all players who have completed the tutorial. The game will begin in early November; governments will begin organizing for the first campaign in mid-October. The game is expected to last until approximately May 15, 2005. To register for the game, contact the NWOL Academy Commandant at nwolacademy@holf.org. For more information, see the NWOL web site at http://www.distance-simulations.com/NWOL/index.html NWOL is a project of the Distance Learning Group at the Historic Online Learning Foundation. http://www.distance-simulations.com/ http://www.holf.org/ Steve Schmidt Up
