Description:

Frontiers of Old Aerth is a 2 year old PBEM fantasy game. The setting is
based very loosely on the 18th century United States, but in a fantasy
world. A young democratic republic is expanding into a vast wilderness
continent inhabited by dangerous and savage aboriginals: satyrs, elves,
sylphs, and monstrous beasts. The world has both magic and technology on
the level of flintlock rifles, cannons, the printing press and steam
engines.

We are looking for a few good role-players, people who can tell a
collaborative story and contribute to the evolution of a rich and complex
world. Players are expected to post 3-4 times a week.

Frontiers of Old Aerth uses its own game system. It is a character point
based system, classless, allowing great flexibility in how a player
develops his or her character. Many of the game mechanics resemble, or are
drawn directly from D&D; but assumptions drawn from D&D will not generally
hold.
