Description:

A new Call of Cthulhu campaign needs players! The Fellowship of the
Witching Hour are a group of friends with a common interest. They met
at Miskatonia University when one of their number posted a small
advertisement in the University Newsletter:

"Wanted, fellow graduates of a like mind to form an extra- curricular
club investigating the compelling subject of the strange and the
unexplained. Will meet on Tuesdays and every other Friday after
lecture hours. Members must be prepared to consider the darker side of
the human psyche and the bleaker aspects of our modern world. Members
must also be prepared to take turns paying for beer. Bring sturdy
shoes in case of nocturnal sojourns! First meeting at the Witching
Hour bar, corner of Garrison Street, 9PM Tuesday 6th October."

Since its formation the club's members have graduated in their
chosen practical fields and found employment of one kind or another
within the town of Arkham Masachusetts.
Nevertheless, the club continues.
Oblivious of the odd looks they draw from the more conventional
patrons of the Witching Hour bar, the Fellowship still meet every
Tuesday and every other Friday to swap information, examine old maps,
discuss mythos and share pitchers of beer. By day they are upright
citizens of a seemingly normal town. But by night they disgard the
veil of normality and their business becomes the extraordinary, the
ludicrous and the terrifying. Something stirs in Arkham...

I'm using edition 5.6 and the campaign will be based in pre-war
Arkham, Masachusetts in the year 1940. Experience with CoC rules is
preferred but definitely not essential. As a player you'll take on the
roll of a Fellowship member, meeting other players in the Witching
Hour bar to investigate strange goings on around Arkham. Please
provide a character idea with your application, but not a character
sheet. Stats will be rolled up later. Remember your character
graduated from Miskatonia university in 1939 and found employment in Arkham.
