The Darkness Within is a free play-by-post game created on Storycrafter.
It's free with absolutely no advertising. Members can be novices or
experienced gamers; we welcome anybody from all walks of life. But beware:
if you're used to fighting your way through dungeons this is not the game
for you. This game will require wit, knowledge, cleverness, open eyes, and
an open mind.

"Civil wars in Ukraine: natural disasters in Southern Asia: increased
spiritual activity across the globe: what thin, terrible thread weaves
these events together?

Make no mistake, things are about to take place on this world that never
should have been. You will be drawn into plots no human mind could
construct, and in which human strength is the weakest weapon of all.
Things will come together, lives will be shattered, nations will be
splintered, and every human that ever lived is in jeopardy. The end of the
world has finally come.
