Description:

Joss Whedon created a cult classic in 2002 and introduced viewers to a
whole new look at the future. The show "Firefly" brought us the adventures
of a small crew trying to survive and stay out of the way of the Alliance.
The crew took on odd jobs to keep fuel in the tanks and food on the table.
They would haul passengers and cargo, sometimes legal and sometimes not.
The crew of Serenity did what they had to do to survive. The I.V.S. Lotus
is an email sim based in that universe but with an entirely different
mission than mere survival.

Even the untamed frontier needs justice, but The Alliance in all its
wisdom has deemed it too expensive to run its big old ships out here. They
find it far more cost effective to hire independent contractors to keep
the peace in those dark places of the 'verse. We, the crew of the I.V.S.
Lotus, a Stingray Class Vessel, have taken on this challenge. Our 'beat'
is the 'neighborhood' surrounding the Patella Drift space station. We're a
rag-tag bunch, an uncomfortable mix of Alliance loyalists, Browncoats, and
barely reformed criminals on a ship that's seen better days. But does any
of that really matter so long as the paychecks keep rolling in steady?
