3 Questions + 1 (Start at GO, collect nothing) From: trolfs@vax1.tcd.ie (Tommy) Date: Thu, 25 May 1989 17:37:12 +0000 I have been reading this group for quite a while now and I have also read a bit about PBM in magazines (namely GM). The net result is that I'm interested in PBM games and would like to have a go at playing one, and even at some stage GM'ing my own. The problem is that I don't have a clue about how to play and so I'm a bit tentative about asking to join a game. It seems to me that players need to know exactly what to do and so a novice would only ruin the game for everyone (especially for the GM who puts in so much work and free time). So with that in mind, I have three questions I'd like to ask: 1) Does anybody run games for beginners, or give advice about starting? 2) How many games are presently running and what sort of games are they? ie Trade Politics Adventure Crime etc.. 3) Are there any games which don't require the player to buy maps and books etc..
