I don't contend that play by newsgroup frp games be banned from
usenet!  I merely propose that this new application be subject to
discussion and vote, and a newsgroup set up for it.  The Broad Axe
Tavern is the first pbn game I've seen.  It seems to have been very
succesful and has drawn a lot of interest.  I believe a r.g.pbn
newsgroup would attract additional games.  I fear that if one isn't
started, additional games may start here.  I for one, as a leaf node,
will probably not subscribe to r.g.pbn, but I pay the bills for my
site, and that will be my choice.

My main complaint was that r.g.pbm was "taken" for this new purpose,
rather than going through the net rules of discussion and vote.  A
call for discussion was posted several days ago, you can vote in about
10 days, and have your newsgroup by mid August.  You've created a new
concept, now go through the effort to make it something lasting, or
watch it fail in the vote.  Follow-up to news.groups please.
