Haywood gfink@iris.ucdavis.edu/George Fink sun!uunet.uu.net!maccs!anand or sinhaa@sscvax.mcmaster.ca /Anand Sinha eric_s_klien@cup.portal.com/Eric Klien I am now ready to organize game #17. People on my waiting list for a regular Diplomacy game: danielh@inset.co.uk/Daniel Hannigan rs51@andrew.cmu.edu/Ronald Eugene Snyder Remember to give me your home phone number, work phone number, home address, and country preferences when you sign up for my waiting list! I also have openings for a 1914 variant of Diplomacy based on an article in The General. (The General is published by the manufacturer of Diplomacy to give you an idea of how good this variant must be!) This game is much more realistic than regular Diplomacy, you even can get bombers starting in Winter 1917. My waiting list is Tedrick@ernie.berkeley.edu/Tom Tedrick, I need four more people. I am now opening a Gunboat game where you don't know who your opponents are, you only communicate through press. I have six people on my waiting list. In addition to players, I need Guest GMs, particularly for my postal zine PROTOCOL. I have also decided to give in and start a standby list to take over positions that people have dropped because they are either bums or their e-mail connections have died. Although we haven't had a big problem with this, I feel that the zine has gotten so big I should automate everything that I can. So if you would like to be a standby for an abandoned position let me know. It is great opportunity to practice end-game diplomacy, and can be a great test of your skills if you are given a particularly bad position. Actually, I could also use a standby list for GMs, mostly for GMs who are going on short vacations but occassionally for GMs that are no longer able to GM for some reason. So sign up for both lists! Finally, I need some suggestions for game names, I have used names such as BUNKER HILL, BLITZKRIEG, and GALLIPOLI in the past -- send me your suggestions! Up
