In the last generation, psionic abilities have spread throughout the world. This evolutionary leap forward has wrecked great social disruption. Multinational corporations have supplanted nation-states; ecological disasters are manifold; pockets of utopia and social dysfunction marble the globe; mankind coexists with new, aionic life.
