Alternate Realties--Portal R'lyeh, Party Sarnath From: raven@clotho.acm.rpi.edu (Jennifer Lynn Piatek) Date: Sun, 25 Feb 1990 20:45:33 +0000 (greg--here's your mispelling again, thanks for telling me last time) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "I vote for the lone human, and that we be off as fast as possible." states Luagha. Marin agrees, "I definitely vote that we go visit the lone person." He looks around, checking up on Windwalker (who has been wandering around the area, poking in the cave, things like that), and mumbles to himself again, this time in a strange language. The party is off, with Kelso flying above and ahead of the party, scouting. It begins to get dark, and you can barely see when you reach an open glen, which looks to be 100 feet in diameter. You spend the night here, keeping watches during the night, but nothing happens. The sun comes up, you arise, and then examine the surroudings. The glen is about 100 feet in diameter, as you expected, and is covered with lush, green grass. Around the perimeter of the glen are a ring of beech trees, probably about 300 years old. Near the center of the glen is a copse of beech trees, whose leaves form a canopy above a cairn of small rocks. There are three paths leaving the glen, going northeast, northwest and southwest. Kelso tells you that he believes that the path leading to the lone human goes northeast. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Cast in this unlikely role, but ill equipped to act With insufficient tact One must put up barriers, to keep oneself intact."
