Berlin: Princess Eleonora (second daughter of the German kaiser) returned back from a short trip to Constantinople. Well informed politicians whisper that Wilhelm II intended to offer his daughter to the Emir (Eleonora is red haired). The Emir however didn't seem to be impressed by Eleonora's appearance (this is an understatement) and send her back to her father, who welcomed his look-alike at the imperial airport of Berlin himself. Brindisi: Strange telex message received from our reporter in Brindisi: "We can't stop the ... argggh - End of message -". Hades: Satan rejoiced at the slaughter starting to happen throughout Europe. "The Austro-Hungarian capital has fallen. The Russian capital will soon follow, as may the German. Blood, slaughter, rape! Yes, these people are starting to understand my teachings." London: The Holy Grail has been found by a group of wandering knights carrying coconuts. It was found in a French Castle. "Ah told'eem wee awwready gaat one", was the only comment from Paris. London: The British prime minister tried to show the Russian Czar the positive side of his St. Petersburg attack: "Getting your fleet out of the North will give me time to attack France, while I attack you, you should be able to see some good points about it." Czar Nicolas: "Good points? I dunno what he is talking about... " Moscow: In a defensive measure, the Russian capital has been relocated in Moscow. The English and German forces encircling the Winter Palace made the Tsar nervous for his safety. In other news Boris Snitchovitch has been be-headed for not anticipating the English/German aggression against Russia. No replacement has been named. Moscow: Czar Nicolas has received a short diplomatical note from the English King: "I am kicking you out of the (northern) fleet business independent of what your ally wants to do." and "You should assume I'm not attacking Germany. I don't think that would be wise." Moscow: Boris Badenov has been named as the replacement for Boris Snitchovitch. "Ve vill get that Moose and his Sqvirrel!!" was Badenov's only statement to the Press here. The Moose and Squirrel? Enquiring minds want to know... Munich: A lot of foreign tourists were expected at the Munich Bierfeste this year. Unfortunately, the Russians couldn't make it; The French either, while the Austrians prefered to attend their own Tiroler Abend rather than leaving for Munich. The President of the organising committee blamed the German authorities of adopting the wrong strategy; "How can WE go on if our leaders go on like this?" and "Next year we will make sure, they will make it. Even if we have to fight our own troups to achieve this!". Naples: Vice prime minister Loeba has expressed his concern about the present military situation in a report: "We seem to be on the losing end.", is the opening statement. MPs have become pretty pissed off about the phrase "I would even be willing to be a pupper, if that is what it would take to ensure that I could have back an intact Italy to prime minister Leali." "Well, are we playing "The Dance of the puppets" or what?", MP Martini reacted, "We'd better stand up and fight those Turks!". Leali is, as you all will know, on a diplomatical mission in the Middle East, and will try to convince the Arab leaders to take military action against the Turks. New York: Pasta Prices Hit All Time Low. Millions lose money as pasta prices continue to tumble. Russian Sable prices rise as expected English invasion cuts off only Russian free port. Paris: President Gearoid requested that the squabbling over lasagne cease as of this moment. "The combined aggression of England and Germany against our sworn ally, Russia, is a serious threat to peace. I call on all nations to concentrate their powers on removing the black and blue cancer that is spreading". The President also asked that the Turkish navy training in England use terrorist tactics to disrupt the English government. Paris: No French press today. Smyrna: All Turkish press was censored. Somewhere: Operation "Murad" - Sp04 - P: E/G/T T: R. S: ok/x?/Fu2! winter adjustments are due asap. Date: Thu, 22 Mar 90 19:05 MET Yo folks, winter '03 moves. I have used the 'golden rule' to decide which Austrian army to disband, namely the army that's furthest away from the capital and not occupying a home supply center. Shame for and to you, Michel. I hope there will be no Irish holidays next week and that all French can postpone their holiday fever for yet another week.
