Diplomacy Zine --- Chapter Three EP #156 From: mad-2@kub.nl (C. Wekx) Date: Mon, 02 Apr 1990 14:17:13 +0000 Issue #156 of ELECTRONIC PROTOCOL: ------------- Chapter Three ------------- This chapter contains results from DAWN PATROL (#23), BERLIN (#32), EL ALAMEIN (#41), SNIKKEL 1 (#42), SNIKKEL 2 (#43), SQUALANE (#45), UNGAWE (new) and blind game MULHOUSE (#22). Spring '05 of the game MULHOUSE (MNC number 1989ISrd24) (Blind game, GM is sears@hplabs.hp.com/Bart Sears) Date: Sun, 01 Apr 90 19:08:14 PDT ** Deadline ** Summer 1905 moves are due Monday, April 2, 7pm PST. ** GM Notes ** Even if there is no change as far as you can "see" for the Summer moves, I will send you mail saying that you see "no change" when I have resolved the moves so that you will know that the move is complete. Everyone agreed that you should "know" when one of your units is attacked. I retroactivly revised the Fall '04 results to show attacks on Holding units and sent out the revised moves to all players who were effected by this change. You also see all the units supporting the conflict. I report supporting units as OK or FAIL meaning the action they were supporting was OK or Failed. If I report CUT it means that your support was cut and you no longer "see" the conflict you were supporting, instead you "see" the action which caused your support to be cut. On a Convoy, there are two different things I will report. OK or DISBAND/RETREAT refers to your Fleet. If I report OK, I will also tell you C-OK or C-FAIL but will NOT report why the Convoy falied (your fleet knows if it did a convoy but it can't know why it failed or succeded). (If it was your own army, I will report after the army's move why it failed or succeded.) The vote to switch to non-DIAS was Yes=4, No=2, Abstain=1. Mulhouse is now non-DIAS. The vote to switch to combined Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter was Yes=1, No=5, Abstain=1. Mulhouse will stay with seperate Summer and Winter seasons. ** Press ** (None) Spring '06 of the game DAWN PATROL (BNC number 1989II) (GM is sinhaa@mcmaster.ca/Anand Sinha) Date: Thu, 29 Mar 90 11:31 EST Hello all, Sorry for the delay, it took six days for Daniel's orders to reach me. Reports that this is being caused by a strange, silvery, cigar-shaped object have been dismissed by the Russian envoy.
