What are people playing? From: warden@hydra.unm.edu (Scott Micheel) Date: Fri, 25 May 1990 05:41:25 +0000 I play in Takamo, a space-empire pbm from Advent Games. I looked at the rules for Empyrnian Challenge, and quickly decided I didn't want to spend *that* much time on a game (he is not kidding "complicated".) I played GSI's State of War for awhile, but was not impressed. But most of my time is spent on Lords of the Earth; a medieval, human-moderated pbm. In fact, I am in *seven* games of this (using various maps, set at different historical times: 1300ad Arabia, 1150ad Russia, 1230ad West Africa, 1150ad Spain, 1050ad India, 450bc Italy, and 225ad China. In fact, I run part of one of these games, the New World section of campaign 6. Needless to say, if you want more information, send me a note. And if there are any Takamo players out there in the Baxel galaxy, remember: The mark of a truly civilized society is a good chocolate-chip cookie; call Cadmus Cookie Combine for your Agro Center today! -- +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | The sad truth of history has always been that the unreasoning masses | | follow the powerful, not the wise. -- George R.R.
