Schedule: This is going out Sunday nite, so Fall 07 moves can be due Wed AM. I'll get results out that day, so Winter will be due Sunday the 4th so we can back in the groove. As far as delays, I have tried to run this as a GAME, not a contest or a job. I don't think anyone can say that haven't contributed, at one time or another, to a delay. Let's just keep it friendly & get moves in on time or early. In his remarks, "When President Havelot was just a nobody, we Ottomans supported his struggle for peace, prosperity and power. It has been due in part to our depletion of foreign exchange reserves that allowed his revolution to take fire. I will support him in his efforts to restructure Austrian society. The old hatreds must die and we must give the new nation a chance to establish itself as a peace loving member of the House of Europe." When asked on why the Royal Navy did not support the rebelling Moscow army into Sevestapol, the Sultan responded, "The founding struggle for our survival was dependent upon the Russians. Now when he needed us, we were there. I will always be grateful to the Czar and he will always have a place in the Sultanate. He is a great man." Some analysts suspect that the Sultan was taken by surprise by the quick revolution of President Havelot. ... in other news ... The Royal Ministry of Foriegn Trade and Commerce announced that an import license was granted to Herr Nichols personally. It seems that there is some law which requires a personal grant as opposed to a foriegn grant when dealing with non-Ottoman relations. It is likely that Stolichnaya Light will have a huge following make Herr Nichols a multi-dinaire. Bureaucrats are citing the Stolichnaya Light import license as a textbook case should other businessmen desire to do business in Turkey. The People for a Turkish Way came out with a statement today, declaring, "We as an honest and upright group denounce the granting of Herr Nichols a license of import. We see this a just another way for the bureaucrats to line their pockets by making Herr Nichols a multi-dinaire. We call on all Ottoman citizens to boycott the new product as an invasion of dirty foriegn culture." Rumours have been spreading that defence personel have been wondering what the Czar will do now that he has regained his capital. The Germans seem adamant about keeping Warsaw so where will Moscow turn to???? Apparently, the Caliph Stodgy has imposed some tough demands on the French President as negotiations have slowed down between Turkish and French represenatives. Apparently the Caliph has been enjoying the Sultan's personal hospitality more than the cold and uncaring life in the British Isles.
