Fortunately, operations went off without a hitch as news was sent to London and immediately relayed to the pick-up fleet operating in the North Sea. After several hours of waiting, all personnel, supplies, and equipment were swiftly and safely loaded aboard and the newest division shipped out for Continental duty.'' Paris (Reuters): ``The principal Continental force of the Royal Army was ordered on patrol duty following numerous reports of turmoil and unrest after the fall of the French government. The original force has been ordered south into the Gascoyne as command is transferred to Lyon, while the Second Army has been ordered to continue watch in the Burgundian vineyards where the First Army left off.'' London (The Times): ``The Royal Navy is riding high following news that British naval power shall soon extend into the Mediterranean.'' Copenhagen (UPI): ``Demilitarization of Scandinavia by the King's and Czar's forces continue smoothly as the Northern White Navy is expected to withdraw from our eastern shores this season.'' ---------- of the game JUGGERNAUGHT (BNC number 1989IR) (GM is rdesper@eagle.wesleyan.edu/Rick Desper) nothing recieved ---------- of the game FIRE WHEN READY (BNC number 1990B) (GM is rlg@ai.mit.edu/Bob Givan) nothing recieved ---------- of the game DREADNOUGHT (BNC number 1990I) (GM is rbk@aiai.edinburgh.ac.uk/Richard Kirby) nothing recieved Fall '06 of the game HOHENZOLLERN (BNC number 1990J) (GM is jog@hpda.hp.com/Rajeev Jog) HOHENZOLLERN (BNC #1990J) Fall 1906 ------------------------------------- -- Europe under Franco-German-Turkish hegemony; Great Powers agree to Armistice as Russian and Austro-Hungarian empires cease to exist. The France-Germany-Turkey draw proposal passes with 4 votes for the motion. As per the houserules, all players who have not been eliminated by the end of a turn can vote on a draw. Since Austria-Hungary and Russia have been eliminated, their votes are not considered in the draw. Please send in your endgame statements (if any) to me by Thursday, May 10. Thanks to all of you for having been (mostly) prompt with your orders and for keeping the game on schedule. It was also interesting to be cc:'ed on some of your correspondence, which let me in on why certain moves were being made. Also, I'd like to make special mention of Glen Chester aka HRH Sultan Ingmuad the Inept of Turkey for the regularity with which he put out The Ottoman Herald. Plans for the two are not clear, rumour has it that the pair is moving to an obscure town in the Southwestern US, where thye are hoping to find a more permanent position in the world scene. LCB wants to personally thank his long standing ally, Lord Igmaud of Turkey, for his never ending support of the Russian Cause. He would laso like to thank the governemnt of Switzerland, for its fine job in adjunticating the game. Further comments by Blackie state that it is indeed an unusual game where the first two countries eliminated are England and Russia. B & B also wish the remaining players good luck in their conquests and are looking forward to teaming up again in future games. ************************************************************************** If you are interested in joining the fun here in Electronic Protocol, send mail to Eric_S_Klien@cup.portal.com including your name, home address, home phone number, work phone number, and country preferences. ************************************************************************** -- * // Only /\ |Lord Zar,Commander Of All He Surveys|Stay Alert!
